We represent a new art medium for preserving photos by infusing dye-sublimation ink directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. Because the image is infused into the surface and not on it, your images will take on an almost magical luminescence. The ultra-hard scratch-resistant surface is waterproof/weatherproof and can be cleaned easily – just avoid direct sunlight.
Our HD Metal Prints are handcrafted in Illinois & Florida, where the beauty of our surroundings inspires us for transfering your memories and special moments into perfecting its final presentation. This includes offering the widest variety of size options to fulfill every requirement.
We also do custom sizes by special request to satisfy our unique customers.
Image Quality & Color
Most HD (High Definition) images typically use a resolution 300 DPI (Dot per Inch, Dot = pixel). We recommend using images of 150 to 300 DPI. As you can see from the image below, the “Before” image resolution is 80 DPI and is blurry because of low resolution compared to the “After” image which has a resolution of 300 DPI, so as you can see the amount of DPI matters if you want a HD print. The higher the DPI, the higher the quality. Our customization software is automatically set to alert you if the DPI is lower than 120. An image size of 12in. x 18in. with resolution of 120 DPI requires a pixilation of 1,440 x 2,160. You would calculate this by multiplying the DPI by the length of one side of the print. Depending on the size you use will affect the number of pixels needed. The higher the DPI, the higher quality of the image. We recommend using professional photos due to us calibrating our equipment often and the preview of the colors on the image may be different from the final product if your monitor is not professionally calibrated.
